The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is the federal agency responsible for enforcing employment discrimination laws. The Training Institute provides a wide variety of training programs to help employers understand, prevent and correct discrimination in the workplace. EEO Seminars   
We highlight the latest EEO topics and provide expert presentations on EEOC policies and procedures at these one and two day technical assistance seminars, held in major cities throughout the country.
EXCEL Conference

The Examining Conflicts in Employment Laws (EXCEL) Conference is the premier Federal training conference for EEO managers, supervisors, practitioners, HR professionals, attorneys and ADR specialists. The conference is sponsored by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Federal Sector Programs
We offer a variety of training programs geared specifically for federal employees. Our training is ideal for federal supervisors and employees, EEO counselors and investigators, agency representatives and attorneys, and everyone else interested in EEO issues and the practices that affect federal employees. We offer standardized courses for EEO investigators, EEO counselors, managers and supervisors.
Advanced EEO Workshops  
Advanced EEO workshops are a half-day in length and provide in-depth information on one EEO topic. They are offered in the Washington, D.C. area and are appropriate for private, state and local federal EEO practitioners.

The 2012 EEOC Training Institute Webinar series will present our next event on Febuary 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm EDT (12:00 pm CDT, 11:00 am MDT, 10:00 am PDT). This is a special 60 minute event! This webinar is entitled, "Advanced Mediation."

In this webinar, which is focused on the federal sector, a judge and a mediator will offer tips for successful attorney advocacy of employment discrimination cases. They will discuss how a judge decides that a case should go to mediation; when an attorney should suggest that his/her client enters alternative dispute resolution; when a complainant should consider mediating a discrimination matter and how judges and mediators differ in their view of a “successful” mediation.

The webinar entitled "Complying with GINA; the impact of EEOC's Final Regulations" is now available for immediate viewing. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 was signed into law by President George W. Bush on May 21, 2008, and took effect on November 21, 2009. The EEOC's final regulations became effective January 10, 2011. In this webinar, you will learn about the impact of the EEOC's final regulations on compliance with the law. In addition, this webinar will provide a brief overview of GINA including discussion of definitions of terms identified in the law.
